In a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country, Madhya Pradesh has selected 165 farmers as winners of the State-level ‘Kisan Kalyan Swabhiman Parv’ prize quiz, with each of the State’s 55 districts getting three winners - one tractor, one Bullet motorcycle and one e-scooter each. The selection was made through a lottery by a selection committee on October 27. The winners will be felicitated on November 1, the Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day.

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav will personally honour the Bhopal district winners at a State-level ceremony in the capital - Sandeep Verma will receive the first prize of a tractor, Suhani Rajput the second prize of a Bullet motorcycle, and Sameer Gaur the third prize of an e-scooter. In the remaining districts, prizes will be distributed by the respective in-charge ministers. The information was given by Shriram Tiwari, Cultural Advisor to the Chief Minister and Trustee Secretary of Veer Bharat Nyas. Calling it the largest prize-based competition of its kind in India, he said the total prize pool includes 55 tractors, 55 Bullet motorcycles and 55 e-scooters.

The online quiz, organised jointly by Veer Bharat Nyas under the Department of Culture and the Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Department, ran from January 29 to March 15, 2026. Nearly 40,000 farmers participated, answering 24 multiple-choice questions on farmer welfare schemes and agricultural development in 24 minutes, with no negative marking. Remarkably, 15,298 farmers scored a perfect 24/24 and made it to the final merit list - 13,091 men, 2,201 women and six others. Of them, 9,408 were aged 19-40 and 5,782 were above 40. The district-wise winners were then chosen by lottery from this list. The full list is available at quiz.veerbharatnyas.com/vijeta. The award ceremony coincides with the State’s Kisan Kalyan Varsh 2026 celebrations, launched by the Chief Minister in January with a 1,101-tractor rally in Bhopal, underscoring the Government’s push to take welfare schemes from field to field through mass participation.
