PERILOUS: The burnt cable on Indora-Dighori flyover putting commuters at risk.
Staff Reporter :
the Indora-Dighori flyover is in news again this time for an electric cable. The cable laid through the gap of two slabs got exposed resulting in emission of spark when vehicles passer-by. The incident was captured by passers-by and soon went viral on social media.
The stretch near Baidyanath Square where the cable for streetlight was put under the iron clamp got exposed.
The traffic damaged upper layer of the cable and as it got in touch with tyres one could notice spark emitting from it. The flyover was built by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and projected as prime infrastructure solution.
Poor workmanship is clearly the reason for exposure of electric cable on the surface.
Citizens said continuous sparks emitting underneath the vehicle is a risk and officials should immediately take measures to fix it.
