Cantonment Board Kamptee has been conferred with the prestigious Skoch Gold Award for Municipal Governance for its initiative at the Cantonment General Hospital, Kamptee Cantonment, for providing affordable and sustainable diagnostic services and operation theatre facilities through a Public-Private Partnership model. The award ceremony was held on September 26 in New Delhi. Kiran Sawandkar, Chief Executive Officer, Cantonment Board Kamptee, and Dr Arundhati Kale, Lady Resident Medical Officer, Cantonment General Hospital, Kamptee, attended the ceremony and received the award on behalf of the Cantonment Board.

 

The award was presented in the presence of dignitaries, including the Managing Director of Skoch Group and Prof. S Mahendra Dev, Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister. The initiative undertaken by Cantonment Board Kamptee has enabled the Cantonment General Hospital to provide accessible, affordable and sustainable diagnostic facilities and operation theatre services to the local population through a PPP model.
