Enforcement Department of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is conducting anti-encroachment operations daily across major commercial and high-density zones to clear public roads and footpaths. Continuing from Tuesday’s action, where enforcement squads seized 18 illegal handcarts alongside a full truckload of unauthorised materials, multi-squad operations were carried out across several key areas on Wednesday. In Sitabuldi, Teams 02 and 03 conducted joint operations from Sitabuldi Main Road to Variety Square and the Multi-Level Parking Plaza, removing illegal stalls and roadside shops.

 

Meanwhile, Team 01 operated in Timki Road, Hansapuri, and Mominpura, demolishing three unauthorised sheds and confiscating approximately two truckloads of items, including seven handcarts and iron structures. Additionally, Central Teams 04 and 05, alongside the Gandhibag Zone squad, cleared encroachments spanning Mahal Square, Badkas Square, KD Bagh Road, and Kalyaneshwar Temple, seizing a statue and a steel table. The campaign was conducted under the leadership of Deputy Municipal Commissioner Mangesh Khawale and Assistant Municipal Commissioner Sanjay Kamble.
