Chhattisgarh Congress media chief Sushil Anand Shukla on Friday launched a sharp attack on Union Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister J P Nadda, after the latter accused the Congress of defaming democracy.
Reacting to Nadda's remarks, Shukla said the Union Minister was attempting to malign the Congress through such statements. He claimed the BJP was rattled by the Congress’s
proposed rally in New Delhi on November 1.
“Nadda should know very well that the Congress has always worked to strengthen democracy,” Shukla said. He alleged that under BJP rule, constitutional institutions such as the Election Commission, the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation were being weakened. “In contrast, it is BJP leaders who are defaming the Congress,” he added.
