Municipal Commissioner Agrim Kumar has set a 15-day deadline for improving the city’s cleanliness system. During a review meeting with the Health Department, he directed officials to strengthen monitoring, improve teamwork and ensure proper waste management. He said all officials and employees must perform their duties seriously and ensure that every area of the city remains clean. He also warned that strict action would be taken against those who fail to meet their responsibilities. Kumar directed officials to prepare a better monitoring system and clearly assign duties to each team member. He also stressed the need to verify cleaning work on the ground and maintain proper records of staff attendance and field activities.

He instructed the health staff to carry out cleaning work according to fixed beat plans and checklists. Waste must be collected at designated places and disposed of properly. Officials were also asked to prepare maps of their respective areas to assess the actual cleaning situation. The Municipal Commissioner said people should be regularly advised not to litter public places. However, those who continue to spread garbage despite repeated warnings will face spot fines. He also stressed the need to provide sanitation workers with proper equipment and ensure that they receive their salaries on time. Kumar directed officials to resolve all cleanliness-related complaints received through the CM Helpline within 24 hours. He further warned that action would be taken against employees who remain absent without prior information or a valid reason. Officials were asked to remain active in the field and complete their assigned work on time.
