RAIPUR :
CHIEF Minister Vishnu Deo Sai
is leading the State delegation
in Singapore on the nomination
of the Ministry of External Affairs
(MEA), Government of India,
for the inaugural SingaporeIndia Network for Growth
(SING) Forum 2026, organised
by the Singapore Business
Federation (SBF).
The Chief Minister and the
delegation held a formal meeting with Jason Yeo, General
Manager, Master Planning, and
Lim Chiap Song, Director,
Gardens by the Bay, along with
senior members of its team. The
delegation was briefed on
Gardens by the Bay’s master
planning, sustainable design
and garden management practices. The two sides explored
institutional cooperation in horticulture, botanical conservation, urban greening, ecotourism and capacity building.
Chief Minister Sai said that
Chhattisgarh is blessed with rich
forests and biodiversity.
Gardens by the Bay’s expertise
would help develop botanical
gardens in Nava Raipur, improve
landscaping across urban and
rural areas, and increase tourist
footfall, creating employment
for hundreds of people.
In the evening, the Chief
Minister attended the
Leadership Dinner hosted by
the SBF on the eve of the Forum.
It was attended by Nayab Singh
Saini, Chief Minister of Haryana;
H.E. Dr Shilpak Ambule, High
Commissioner of India to
Singapore; Mark Lee, Chairman,
SBF; and Kok Ping Soon, CEO,
SBF. SBF members, senior leaders from Mastercard, Tata
Consultancy Services, Nestlé
and The Indian Hotels
Company Limited, and the 7-
member Chhattisgarh and 26-
member Haryana delegations
were also present. The dinner
provided an important platform
for engagement between Indian
States and Singapore’s business
community on investment,
trade and long-term economic
partnership.
Chief Minister Sai presented
Chhattisgarh as an emerging
investment destination. He
highlighted the State’s progressive industrial policy, ease of
doing business and opportunities in MSMEs, startups and
manufacturing, and invited
Singaporean businesses to partner in building a Viksit
Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Sai
will participate in the SING
Forum 2026 on Monday, followed by a CEO Roundtable
with leaders of major Singapore
companies and investment
institutions on October 6.
