Man allegedly hits elderly cobbler with iron tool during argument in Butibori
A dispute over payment for repairing slippers turned fatal after a 76-year-old cobbler was attacked with his own iron tool in Butibori on Saturday. The elderly man later died during treatment at AIIMS.
The accused, identified as Dilip Pawar (35), a resident of Vadar Mohalla, Butibori, was arrested by Butibori Police on the same day. The deceased has been identified as Jaysingh Rajaram Bhaiswar (76), a resident of Butibori.
According to police, Pawar had gone to a cobbler’s shop to get his slippers repaired. After the work was completed, he refused to pay the repair charges.
Jaysingh, who was at the shop, reportedly asked him to make the payment.

Jaysingh on the head with the tool.
Jaysingh suffered serious injuries
and was rushed to AIIMS.
“A dispute over payment escalated into a violent attack. The
accused used the iron tool lying
at the shop and hit the elderly
man on the head. He was arrested soon after the incident,” said
a police officer. Butibori Police
have registered a case and are
investigating the case.
