A 45-YEAR-OLD landlord was arrested by Khursipar police on charges of allegedly sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl in the Khursipar area of Bhilai. Police sources informed that the alleged incident took place on October 2. The victim was living with her family in a house owned by the accused landlord. The incident reportedly came to light after the child’s health deteriorated following the alleged sexual assault. Her family members noticed her condition and took her to a doctor for medical examination. During the medical examination, doctors reportedly found indications of sexual assault.

 

Following the medical findings, the family approached Khursipar police and lodged a complaint. Taking the matter seriously, police immediately initiated an investigation and subsequently arrested the accused landlord. The police are conducting a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and are collecting relevant evidence. Further legal action will be taken on the basis of the investigation and evidence collected. ASP Manishankar Chandra, Spokesperson, Durg District Police informed that in the case the accused has already been arrested and the investigation is under way.
