“WE ARE committed for handholding the farmers during this difficult drought situation by providing mechanised agriculture tools and implements and multiple processing facilities,” said Umesh Ghatge, Joint Director Agriculture while delivering the key note address as chief guest during a programme organised by VIA Agro and Rural Development Forum in collaboration with Department of Agriculture and ATMA at Udyog Bhavan, Civil Lines. The programme was opened by Prashant Mohta, President of VIA. Mohta during his inaugural speech emphasised on value addition and down stream processing of agricultural produce from the region.

 

Dr Archana Kadu the Project Director ATMA, Anil Chouk, an expert in manufacturing bio char, and Vaishaali Samarth talked on various topics. Om Jajodia, Chairman of VIA Agro Forum welcomed the guests, while Anirudh Ansinghkar introduced them. The programme was conducted by Shachi Mallick the Convener and Kapil Charan Sahoo, the Project Director. A large number of agri entrepreneurs were present.
