RAIPUR :
AIRPORTS Authority of
India (AAI) has
appointed Mohammad
Arif as the new Airport
Director of Swami
Vivekananda Airport
(SVA), Raipur. He will
assume charge on
October 6.
An experienced aviation and airport management professional, Arif
comes from AAI’s Commercial
Department and has served in
several important assignments
during his career. His appointment brings to Raipur experience of heading two significant
airports. Arif has previously served as
Airport Director of
Bagdogra Airport and
C o i m b a t o r e
International Airport,
handling responsibilities spanning airport
operations, administration, commercial
functions and passenger services.
His experience assumes significance as SVA continues to
handle growing passenger
requirements, with service
delivery and passenger convenience remaining key components of airport management. As Airport Director, Arif
will oversee the overall functioning of the Raipur airport,
including coordination of operations and passenger-oriented services.
His previous assignments at Bagdogra and Coimbatore
have provided him exposure to different operational environments and passenger-service requirements. With Arif
taking charge, the airport administration is expected to focus
further on strengthening passenger facilities, service standards and the overall travel experience at the State capital’s airport. Arif will formally assume responsibilities on
Tuesday, taking over charge from incumbent Airport Director
K K Lahre.
