A delegation of the Vidarbha Rural Industries Association (VRIA), led by President Farooque Akbani, recently met Rajesh Jhanjhad, Chief Engineer of MIDC (Vidarbha Zone), and discussed various issues of local businessmen and residents in Kuhi and Kapsi (Buzurg) areas. Although the administration officially designated Kuhi and Kapsi (Buzurg) as Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) zones, local business owners report severe daily operational hurdles. During the meeting, Akbani felicitated Jhanjhad with a traditional stole before raising core grievances, including administrative delays in plot transfer procedures, lack of paved roads, and erratic power and drinking water supply.

He emphasized that unpaved roads create mud waterlogging during rains, severely hindering access to factories and units. The delegation urged MIDC to promptly deliver standard industrial amenities to support local commerce and regional economic growth. Jhanjhad gave a patient hearing to the association’s demands. He assured the delegation that he, along with MIDC officials, will inspect the Kuhi and Kapsi (Buzurg) industrial areas to expedite solutions for citizens and business owners. Prominent association members including Bharat Bhushan Kohli, Neeraj Khakhar, Dayabhai Patel, and several local merchants were present at the meeting, says a press conference.
