As many as 18,280 students have secured admission to the three-year LLB course in Maharashtra for the academic year 2026-27 at the end of the third round of the centralised admission process conducted by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell.
The institutional round of admissions concludes on Tuesday (October 6). Of the 23,468 available seats across 224 law colleges in the State, 18,280 seats have been filled so far, leaving 5,188 vacant seats for the institutional round.
A total of 49,843 students had registered for admission to the three-year LLB course. During the third round, 12,767 seats were available for allotment, with 11,756 students being offered admission to colleges according to their preferences.
Of these, 5,884 students actually secured admission.
With 5,765 admissions in the first round, 2,512 in the second and 5,884 in the third, a total of 14,161 students were admitted through the three centralised rounds.
Subsequently, the institutional round commenced on October 3 and will continue till October 6. As many as 4,119 students have secured admission through the institutional round so far, taking the overall number of admissions to 18,280. The institutional round provides the final opportunity for students to secure admission against the remaining vacant seats in the three-year LLB course.
