Headquarters Madhya Bharat Area organised the Shaurya Veer Promo-Run at Jabalpur on Sunday, as a heartfelt tribute to the brave martyrs and veterans who made the supreme to sacrifice in the service of the nation. The event was organised as a Pre cursor Surya Half Marathon, scheduled on November 22, 2026, to generate public awareness, encourage wider participation and promote patriotism, physical fitness and national pride. Shaurya Veer Promo-Run was flagged off by Major General Sanjay Gautam, Chief of Staff, HQ MB Area, along with Mayor, Jagat Bahadur Singh Annu, MP, Ashish Dubey, MLA, Ashok Rohani and MLA, Bargi, Neeraj Singh, marking the commencement of the event and underscoring the Indian Army’s relentless commitment towards promoting physical fitness, national integration and the sprit of service to the nation.

 

The Promo-run was laid out through the city area distance of 04 km. Approx 1500 runners participated in the event. It witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community, bringing together people from all walks of life. The active involvement of participants reflected a shared commitment to fitness, community engagement and national pride. Beyond promoting physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle, the event fostered camaraderie, discipline and a spirit of competitiveness among participants. It also served as a platform to reinforce the values of courage, sacrifice, unity and national solidarity, while paying homage to the valour and selfless service of the nation’s brave-hearts. Through such initiatives, Headquarters Madhya Bharat Area continues to strengthen civil-military cooperation and encourage citizens, particularly the youth, to embrace physical fitness discipline and patriotism.
