The bhoomipujan of the Shri Ram Katha mandap and a ceremonial hoisting of the Sanatan Dharma flag were held at Ganesh Maidan, Bhende Layout, on Sunday, marking the commencement of preparations for the birth centenary celebrations of late Ashokji Singhal, former International Working President, Vishwa Hindu Parishad. The ceremony included the worship of a 75-foot-high Sanatan Dharma flagpole and its ceremonial flag hoisting, accompanied by vedic chants and traditional rituals.

 

The bhoomipujan was performed by Ajay Sancheti, President of Ram Katha Aayojan Samiti, in presence of Prasanna Mohile and Shailesh Jogalekar, Vice-President of the committee. The programme has been organised under the aegis of the Shraddheya Ashokji Singhal Janmashatabdi Varsh Samiti. As part of the celebrations, a five-day Shri Ram Katha will be held from November 14 to November 18, with Sadhvi Ritambhara Devi of Vrindavan as the narrator. Shradheya Ashokji Singhal Janmashatabdi Samaroh Samiti formed Sudarshan Shende has been appointed as President of the Shradheya Ashokji Singhal Janmashatabdi Samaroh Samiti, while Shailesh Jogalekar will serve as its Working President.

 

The appointments have been made as part of the formation of the committee to organise programmes marking the birth centenary of Ashok Singhal, founder of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Nandkishor Dandare has been appointed Vice-President, Prashant Titare as Convenor, Shrikant Aaglave as Secretary, Subodh Acharya as Coordinator. Manish Malani will serve as Treasurer, while Lalit Shende has been appointed Contact Chief.
