Speaking to reporters at Raipur airport on Monday morning, Sai said the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had been making continuous efforts to apprehend the key accused. “Several big revelations will be made in this case soon,” he said, congratulating the CBI and all central agencies involved. Directorate (ED) has also filed a prosecution complaint against Chandrakar. According to information released by the CBI on November 1, an Interpol Red Notice had been issued against Chandrakar. Acting on it, the Royal Oman Police traced and detained him in Oman. The CBI and ED subsequently sent a formal extradition request to the Omani Government, along with the evidence gathered against him. The extradition process was completed in coordination with various Indian Government agencies, Interpol’s National Central Bureau, and the concerned Omani authorities. Once approval was granted, a special CBI team travelled to Muscat and brought Chandrakar back to India.
