Village women can apply online from November 16; Gram Sabha to lead selection
AFTER a gap of nearly five years, Madhya Pradesh will select 3,062 rural ASHA workers, giving village women a fresh opportunity to become the first point of contact for healthcare in their own communities.
As per the Health Department note issued to districts, the Department has released a time-bound schedule for the entire selection process. Applications will be accepted only online through the MP e-Seva Portal (eseva.mp.gov.in) from November 16 to December 16.
As per the Department’s eligibility conditions, the applicant must be a permanent resident of the concerned village, married, aged between 21 and 45 years, and must have passed Class 10. Selection will be made strictly against village-wise vacancies and only for the villages identified for the drive. The prescribed educational qualification and priority criteria will be followed.
The entire process will be conducted under the supervision of the District Health Committee headed by the Collector, to ensure transparency. Selection orders will be issued only after final approval. The entire selection process must be completed by March 5, 2027. After that, the details and documents of selected workers will be sent to the State headquarters. Following verification and approval at the State-level, requests for generating their IDs will be sent through the ASHA Portal from March 6 to 20, 2027. Officials said the drive will strengthen primary healthcare in rural areas, where ASHAs play a vital role in maternal and child health and door-to-door health awareness. The Department is yet to release a district-wise vacancy list on its official portal.
The schedule for selection is
as follows
December 17 to 25: Applications will be placed before the Gram Sabha.
