DR YAMINI Gadkari Kale, a 41-year-old consultant gynaecologist and laparoscopic surgeon from Nagpur, has successfully completed the prestigious Ironman 70.3 Goa on November 1, 2026, becoming the first gynaecologist from Nagpur to achieve this remarkable feat. An endurance race that tests the limits of physical strength and mental resilience, the Ironman 70.3 comprises three gruelling disciplines performed back-to-back: a 1.9 km open-sea swim, 90 km of cycling and a 21.1 km half marathon run, in hot and humid Goa weather conditions. Dr Yamini completed this demanding challenge in 8 hours and 10 minutes.

She is a full-time practising gynaecologist and laparoscopic surgeon and runs her own private practice at Kale Women’s Wellness Clinic, Ramdaspeth. Balancing the responsibilities of a medical professional and a mother of two daughters, she has demonstrated that her journey to the Ironman finish line demanded months of disciplined early mornings with structured swimming, cycling and running sessions and strength training. Dr Yamini’s accomplishment sends out a powerful message to all women to prioritise their health and fitness and to keep challenging their bodies to make extraordinary achievements.
