With the aim of identifying, encouraging, and providing opportunities for sports advancement in rural areas, Project Sandhan is organising sports competitions in villages across the district. This special campaign, spearheaded by Collector, Rahul Namdev Dhote, is providing rural youth with a platform for sports at the local level. In this sequence, Kabaddi competitions were organised in Janpad Panchayat Mavai and Gram Panchayat Mudia Richka. A volleyball competition was also held in the Mavai area. Rural players participated enthusiastically in both competitions, showcasing their sporting talent and skills. The competitions demonstrated excellent coordination, discipline, and sportsmanship among the players. Through Project Sandhan, special attention is being paid to strengthening the sports culture in rural areas and providing equal opportunities to male and female athletes. Under the campaign, efforts are being made to uncover the talent of athletes at the village panchayat level and promote them to district, cluster, and district-level competitions. This initiative not only connects rural youth with sports, but also develops self-confidence, team spirit, and a competitive spirit. Through Project Sandhan, continuous efforts are being made to give the district’s rural sports talent a new identity and provide them with opportunities to advance.
