Mohpa, Panchgaon and Wadoda formed as Home Department redraws boundaries of about 12 police stations to earmark area for new units
MAHARASHTRA Government
has notified three new police stations in jurisdiction of Nagpur
Rural, namely Mohpa in
Kalmeshwar tehsil, Panchgaon in
Kuhi tehsil and Wadoda in
Kamptee tehsil. The Home
Department notified the constitution of the three new stations
and in process, has redrawn the
boundaries of other nine stations
for even distribution of the jurisdiction. The new police stations
were necessitated for better monitoring of law and order jurisdiction, as in rural areas the jurisdiction of police station is quite
big.
Another reason for establishment of three new police stations is rapid urbanisation along
side boundary of Nagpur.
Besides
Government has already transferred Khaparkheda and Hingna
police station and prior to that
Butibori police station in Nagpur
Police Commissionerate. So the
new police stations Mohpa,
Panchgaon and Wadoda are
going to help in better policing
in the fast expanding colonies.
Mohapa police stations is getting set-up by bifurcating
Kalmeshwar police station and
merging some villages that falls
under neighbouring Katol police
station. As to Panchgaon, it is
dividing the jurisdiction of Kuhi
and Umrer police stations.
Wadoda is to bridge the gap
between New Kamptee police
station and Mauda police station,
it is a massive span and hence
the new police set-up would help citizens in having better access to police machinery.
The notification gave the break-up of 12 police stations jurisdiction that has been redrawn due to establishment of 3 new police units in the Nagpur Rural set-up. The detailing provides clarify over the jurisdiction helping the respective units to have better control and avoid overlap of the matters. The redrawing of boundaries involved police stations of Katol, Kalmeshwar, Hingna, Butibori, Saoner, Umrer, Kuhi, Mauda and Kelvad to earmark jurisdiction of newly formed Mohpa, Wadoda and Panchgaon units.
