City fencer Vaishnavi Badewal has been selected in the Indian fencing team for the Cadet Junior Asian Championship which got under way at Jakarta in Indonesia from Friday. City’s Vaishnavi won the place of pride in the Indian squad for the prestigious competition after some fine show this year. She will participate in the Under-17 sabre event. Members of district fencing association congratulated Vaishnavi.
