President Droupadi Murmu inaugurates ‘Golden Era of Maharashtra through Unity and Trust,’ a State-level campaign of Brahma Kumaris
“UNITY and trust are the foundational pillars upon which a strong nation stands,” said President of India Droupadi Murmu while addressing at the launch of ‘Golden Era of Maharashtra through Unity and Trust’, a State-level campaign of the Brahma Kumaris at its Vishwasarovar premises in Jamtha, on Wednesday.

The State-level campaign, launched by President Murmu, seeks to strengthen trust, fraternity and moral values in society and create awareness for the overall development of Maharashtra.
The campaign outlines an A to H roadmap for social transformation. The roadmap comprises A – Addiction-free
society; B – Balanced living; C – Cleanliness and civic responsibility; D – Dharma; E – Education with values; F – Fitness, faith and yogic lifestyle; G – Green and sustainable Maharashtra; and H – Health, harmony and happiness.
In her address, President Murmu emphasised the role of citizens in nation-building and in achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat. “When mutual confidence deepens within society, individuals rise above personal interest and work collectively towards the achievement of shared developmental goals,” she said. She underlined that active citizenship is essential for national progress. “Every citizen can contribute to nation-building by promoting equality and participating in public initiatives.
The country can progress only when citizens actively support and complement the efforts of the Government,” she added.
Elaborating on the meaning of Viksit Bharat, the President stressed the importance of inclusive growth. “India will be regarded as Viksit Bharat only when every individual is given equal opportunity to progress, technology becomes an instrument of advancement, and the benefits of development reach every household,” she said.
The President noted that Maharashtra has consistently strengthened India’s development journey through its contributions in industry, agriculture, entrepreneurship, innovation, higher education and rich cultural traditions. She said that, the goal should be to move towards holistic development that benefits every citizen.
“We must work with determination to build a stronger and more prosperous Maharashtra and India by drawing inspiration from our history and harnessing the power of modern technology, skill development and innovation,” she said.
Expressing confidence in the initiative, the President of India stated that, the ‘Golden Era of Maharashtra through Unity and Trust’ campaign would inspire people to develop inner strength and leadership qualities and to work towards value-based development.
Governor Acharya Devvrat, in his address, highlighted the significance of unity and trust for the progress of society. He said that, any family, society, country or organisation rooted in unity and trust cannot be prevented from progressing. He added that trust within society fosters unity, which, in turn, leads to peace and prosperity.
Chandrashekhar Bawankule appreciated the State-level programme launched by the Brahma Kumaris and said that, the campaign’s roadmap would be instrumental in achieving the vision of Viksit Maharashtra. He observed that the initiative would play an important role in strengthening the social and cultural fabric of the State.
Earlier, Mruthyunjaya Bhai made introductory remarks while Rajni Didi welcomed the dignitaries. The programme also witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Brahma Kumaris and Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) for the establishment of a thought laboratory at the institute.
