‘ASHWAMEDH 26’, a multi-sport
event hosted by Priyadarshini
College of Engineering got
underway on Wednesday.
More than 1500 engineering
students are taking part in the
event that will run until March
8. It will feature various
competitions, including cricket,
swimming, football, chess and
basketball.
Principal Dr Shrikrishna Dhale
inaugurated the Ashwamedha
26 during a colourful ceremony
by lighting the lamp and unveiling the ‘Ashwamedh 26
Champions Trophy’.

were present.
Dhale stated that sports help
athletes think positive. He added
that unless positive energy is
instilled in every athlete, they
cannot reach their peak.
Students presented various
colourful programmes, including a march past to the beats of
Shivpratishtha Dhol Pathak.
Dean Students Counselling Dr
Virendra Taksande made introductory remarks. The programme was conducted by Dr
Vrushali Nasre while Dr Manoj
Demade proposed a vote of
thanks.
Prof Manoj Ambedkar and Prof
Aniruddha Kailuke were involved
in organising the function.
