GIRLS team of Nagpur Amateur Sporting Association (NASA) and Spartan boys clinched bronze medals winning their respective hardline matches of Under-10 Tournament that was part of Prakash Rajurkar Memorial Talent Hunt Basketball League at Dharampeth Krida Mandal (DKM) court in Shankar Nagar on Wednesday. Ananya Patil was on fire scoring all the 17 points in NASA’s 17-0 drubbing of Gurudeo Nagar Krida Mandal (GKM). The quarter-wise scores read 4-0, 3-0, 10-0, 0-0.

 

The boys’ bronze-medal match was a low-scoring affair. Spartan got the better of Nutan Bharat Yuwak Sangh (NBYS) 7-3. In the first quarter, only one point was scored with Spartan leading by 1-0. In the second session, Spartan found the target twice while NBYS opened their account. Spartan led 3-1 at the half time. The final break-up scores read 1-0, 2-1, 1-0, 3-2. For winners, Hitansh Waghaye scored five while Parth Kakade added two. For NBYS, Om Belktode (2) and Shrihari Ghawale (1) found the basket.
