Rs 2,353 crore outlay for land acquisition for Chandrapur extension of Samruddhi E-way
Staff Reporter :
Maharashtra Government has approved release of Rs 2353 crore for construction of Chandrapur extension of Samruddhi Mahamarg. Approving the proposal of MSRDC, Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure granted its nod to extension of the e-way that aims to speed up movement in hinterland of Vidarbha. The revised administrative sanction stems from revision in final alignment that would take off from Seldoh Interchange to Navegaon (Mor), adding about 192.83 km plus Chandrapur by-pass of 11.96 kms.
The notification issued by Public Works Department (PWD) mentioned that the sanction covers Rs 1,493.31 as Principal expenditure for land acquisition and Rs 860.63 as interest repayment. MSRDC has tapped HUDCO for availing the loan to fund the land acquisition and construction of the E-way
to Chandrapur. The Cabinet Committee at its meeting held last year had taken note of changes submitted in earlier DPR of Chandrapur extension of Samruddhi Expressway.
About five changes were
suggested in 13 packages
of Gati Shakti/BSIAG-N
which were approved in meeting held in month of February 2026.
