VIDARBHA bowlers restricted Rajasthan to 261-7 on the opening day of their four-day Elite Group B match of U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy match at the VCA’s Civil Lines Stadium on Friday.
Rajasthan made a cautious start with their openers adding 46 runs but once Sahil Sheikh made the initial breakthrough, the visitors kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
Half the side was back in the pavilion with 130 runs on the board before skipper Rohan Rajbhar (53) and A Chouhan (81) added 118 runs for the sixth wicket. Vidarbha hit back with two wickets late in the day to claim Day 1 honours.
Sanskar Chavate and Sahil claimed two wickets each.
