LATIKA Inamdar guided Vidarbha to a three-wicket victory over Haryana with a splendid 83 in the Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy in Vadodara on Sunday. It was Vidarbha’s second successive win in Elite Group B. Vidarbha bowlers, led by Arti Bahenwal (3-35), Komal Zanzad (2-37) and Kanchan Nagwani (1-26) restricted Haryana to 201-9 in 50 overs. Vidarbha lost two early wickets in the chase but Latika build small partnerships along the way to bring Vidarbha close.

 

When she was dismissed for 83 off 118 balls, Vidarbha still needed 18 runs. Kanchan (31 not out) and Arti (10 not out) saw their team over the line with three deliveries to spare. Brief scores: Haryana 201-9 in 50 overs (Sheetal Rana 65, Deepika Kumari 64; Komal 2-37, Arti 3-35). Vidarbha 204-7 in 49.3 overs (Latika Inamdar 83, Riddhi Naik 27, Kanchan Nagwani 31 not out).
