THREE of the top four seeds in boys group — Kabir Panchmatia (S1), Ahaan Nargolkar (S3), Hrivaan Mehta (S13) and Riaan Patil (S2) made it to semi-finals in the Suhana Smart 10s Circuit Tennis Tournament for Under-10 Boys and Girls that started at the NDHTA courts in Ramnagar. A total of 36 boys and 23 girls are participating and have come from Mumbai, Nashik, Pune, Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Amravati, Dhule and Yavatmal apart from Nagpur. Among the boys, seeded players like Kabir Panchmatia, Susshrut Jadhav, Ahaan Nargolkar, Avi Sood, Aarav Pannikar, Hrivaan Mehta, Sarvesh Mohite and Riaan Patil entered the quarter-finals.

 

In the girls category, top seed Jyotishika Arekanti had an easy day through to the semi-finals, where she was joined by Anaysha Chaphalkar. In the other semi-final, Avni More will face second seed Nidhi Patil. Earlier in the quarter-finals, Jyotishika beat Aanisha 6-0 and Anaysha beat Arhasee 6-3. In the other quarter-final, Avni More beat Navisha Jejani 6-0 while Nidhi Patil beat Aava Taneja 6-1. Tournament Director Dr Sudhir Bhiwapurkar and Tournament Secretary Vijay Naidu were present during the inauguration.
