Markets are decked up to celebrate the festival of colours Holi and spreading message of peace and harmony. According to Hindu Panchang, Holika Dahan will be carried out in the night of March 2 and Holi (Dhuredi) will be celebrated on March 3.
People from every section of society and different communities started preparations to celebrate Holi in their own way. Along with the preparations, several organizations and individuals also creating public awareness for avoiding the use of artificial chemical based and synthetic colours for avoiding ill effects on health and environment and motivating people to use natural colours and enjoy eco friendly Holi celebrations.
People from different age groups started preparations for the festival.
Children started selection of their water guns, water balloons, Masks of their favourite cartoon characters and purchasing of colours while youngsters are trying to assemble for playing colours and women started kitchen preparations for cooking traditional dishes while senior citizens are also prepared for celebrating the festival in their own style.
Traditional marked places like Bada Phuhara, Miloniganj, Galgala, Sarafa and adjoining markets are fully geared up for alluring utmost number of customers and prepared for witnessing enthusiastic crowd with frequent visit of customers. Likewise previous years, this year took markets are decorated with varieties of ‘Pichkaris’, ‘Gulal’ and several other attractive stuffs.
On the other hand, youngsters started preparations for Holika Dahan with collecting donations, collecting woods and selection of idols.
