Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited has introduced 11 new feeder routes in co-ordination with the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and rationalised six city bus routes to improve connectivity with metro stations. Shared auto-rickshaw services have been started at 26 metro stations and 60 e-rickshaws have been deployed to strengthen last-mile connectivity. It has also marked the completion of seven years of passenger revenue services of the Nagpur Metro Rail Project after operations began between Khapri and Sitabuldi on March 10, 2019. The project’s development began when Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the Nagpur Metro Rail Project on August 21, 2014. Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Limited was formed on February 18, 2015, followed by the ground-breaking ceremony on May 31, 2015. The metro system has also expanded passenger facilities.

Metro services have also been extended during festivals, major events and cricket matches to manage passenger demand. The corporation has launched a Common City Mobility App to integrate journey planning and ticketing for both metro and city bus services and provide real-time transit information.
