South Central Zone and Cultural Centre (SCZCC), under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, will be organising a ‘Kala Mahotsav’ on March 13 and March 14, from 6.30 pm onwards at the SCZCC premises. Mayor Neeta Thakre has been invited to inaugurate the festival. Notably, Padma Shri Dr Bharati Bandhu and renowned actor Dr Nitish Bharadwaj will be performing at the event.
On March 13, ‘Kabir Gayan’ will be performed by Dr Bharti Bandhu, a renowned singer from Chhattisgarh. He is known for popularising Sufi, Kabir and folk music. The second presentation of the festival will be the drama ‘Bharat Milap’.
This drama has been composed in Bundeli language. It includes emerging rural artists. This drama ha been produced under the guidance of Lokendra Trivedi and Nisha Trivedi.
On March 14, Dr Nitish Bharadwaj will present ‘Chakravyuha’, written and directed by Atul Satya Kaushik.
Entry to the programme is free. Dr Astha Karlekar, Director, SCZCC, has appealed to theatre and music lovers to attend the programme in large numbers.
