In a shocking incident, a Zilla Parishad primary school teacher from Paoni tehsil’s Wadegaon village was found to be molesting five of his students from last one year in the classroom itself. When the matter came to fore, angry parents gave the teacher a sound thrashing.

 

The accused teacher has been identified as Anil Jagan Raut (54), a resident of Lakhandur). Is one among the two teachers serving at the Wadegaon school since 2018. As per details, Raut had allegedly made it a practice of locking himself in the classroom with the girl students of Class 4. He would then allegedly show the victims porn movies on his mobile phone and also commit indecent acts. This was going on for past one year, but the girl did not tell anybody out of fear of the teacher. This matter came to light on Tuesday after a 10-year-old victim told her parents about the indecent acts. The female cook at the school also came to know about it. News about the shocking revelation spread quickly among parents and villagers.

 

They assembled at the school and caught hold of Raut and thrashed him. They also informed about Police Patil Komal Vishal Moharkar, who in trun informed Police Inspector Nilesh Bramhne. Taking swift action, PI Bramhne reached the school along with his team and took Raut into custody. Bramhne later informed that Anil Raut had previously spent three years in jail in 2018 for committing a similar act with a twelve-year-old girl, when he was serving at a school in Lakhandur. The accused has been arrested and a case has been registered against the teacher under sections 65 (2), 64 (2) (f), 64 (2) (i), 64 (2) (j), 64 (2) (m), 351 (2) of BNS and sections 4,10,12 of POCSO Act, 2012. Further investigation is being conducted under the guidance of Sub-Divisional Police Officer Manoj Sidam and Police Inspector Nilesh Bramhne by Police Sub-Inspector Yashoda Patil.
