A special cricket match for visually challenged women was organised by Atmadeepam Society Nagpur, in collaboration with Nagpur Mahila Club and Nagpur Ladies Circle. The match was conducted at Kurvey’s New Model Public School ground. Shalinitai Meghe Hospital and Research Centre and while Brujraj Tiwari extended their support to the initiative. A total of 22 visually challenged women players of two teams from the district enthusiastically participated in the match, displaying remarkable talent, determination and team spirit.
 
The event aimed to promote women’s empowerment, inclusivity and equal opportunities in sports for visually challenged women. The event was graced by the dignitaries of Atmadeepam Society including President Jidnyasa Chawaldhal, Trustee Yogesh Chawaldhal, Anjali Sakharkar, Jayant Gulkari, Atul Harode, Shantanu Das, Manisha Bende and Project Co-ordinator Upasana Dobalwar, who appreciated the players for their outstanding performance and encouraged their participation in sports. During the concluding ceremony, President of Nagpur Ladies Circle, Aanchal Arora, and Secretary Aanchal Agrawal handed over the trophy to the Nagpur A team, which emerged as the winner of the match. The organisers congratulated all the participants for their dedication and emphasised the importance of creating more such platforms to motivate visually challenged women to actively participate in sports and lead confident and independent lives.
