produced a superb all-round performance to defeat Mumbai by seven wickets and secure a place in final of the prestigious West Zone Veterans T20 Cricket Tournament being played at Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Stadium in Nanded. In the final, Vidarbha will lock horns with Maharashtra who beat Goa by six wickets.
 
The final will be played on Sunday. Vidarbha and Maharashtra finished the four-team league round with four points each with two wins and a loss. Maharashtra emerged toppers with a better NRR (0.453) as compared to that of Vidarbha (-0.493). In their last league match on Saturday morning, Mumbai posted a competitive 152-5 in 20 overs after being invited to bat first.
 
Deepak Acharya top-scored with 43 runs while Prasad Sawant remained unbeaten on 30. For Vidarbha, Anup Fulper was the pick of the bowlers claiming two wickets, while Rahul Chikhalkar and Parikshit Tripathi chipped in with a wicket each to restrict Mumbai. In reply, Vidarbha chased down the target comfortably, scoring 153-3 in 17.1 overs
 
. The chase was anchored brilliantly by Shalabh Shrivastava, who played a match-winning knock of 69 runs off 47 balls, supported strongly by Anup Fulper, who remained unbeaten on 62 runs. Their crucial partnership ensured Vidarbha reached the target with nearly three overs to spare. Opener Fulper hit seven boundaries and a couple of sixes from 48 balls while Shrivastava smashed six fours and two sixes from 47 deliveries.
