Shahpura police raided a gambling, apprehending 11 gamblers and seized cash of Rs 40,500 and 11 mobile handsets from them. SHO of Shahpura police station Praveen Dhurve informed that on the night of March 15, 2026, police received information that several people were gambling with playing cards at a hut built in a field behind a cowshed in Phular village.

 

Acting on the tip-off, police team raided the spot and caught the accused red-handed while they were bidding money on playing cards. During the operation, police seized Rs 40,500 in cash and 11 mobile phones from the spot. All the accused were taken into custody and legal action has been initiated against them under relevant sections of the gambling act.
