Continuing with the night combing operation, District Police arrested total 280 absconding warrantees and nabbed 14 miscreants with weapons in the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. The combing operation was conducted under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Sampat Upadhyay, to strengthen law and order and curb criminal activities. The operation was conducted from 9 pm on March 14, 2026, till 2 am on March 15, 2026, under the supervision of senior officers. The drive was carried out in the presence and guidance of Additional SP (Crime) Jitendra Singh, Additional SP (Traffic) Anjana Tiwari, Additional SP Pallavi Shukla, Additional SP (Rural) Suryakant Sharma, along with all CSPs, SDOPs and SHOs from urban and rural police stations.
 
Crime Branch teams were also deployed as part of the coordinated action. During the combing operation, police teams executed a total of 280 pending warrants, including 132 long-pending permanent warrants, 81 arrest warrants and 67 bailable warrants. Most of the accused had been absconding for several years and were evading arrest. They have now been apprehended and are being produced before the competent courts.
