Weight of the veil

Weight of the veil

A girl and her father- the priceless bond,
A love so pure, and hearts so fond.
Their care and concern, endless, true
Innocent like the morning dew.
His vision shapes her world
Constantly guiding her through
This selfless love is for all to see,
A daughter-father, bound to eternity.
He hides pain, fights every fight,
So she believes world is all bright.
Toughest of battles do not make him sigh,
But the marriage veil on her head
makes him cry.
A love that matches ocean’s depths,
A father’s love is the best treasure kept.
Weight of the veil can also feel fine
When a doting father
protects her shine.
