The handicraft handloom fair in the name ‘Hastshilp Hathkargha Mela - 2026’ is being held at Vidarbha Hindi Sahitya Sammelan at Mor Bhavan, Sitabuldi in the city between March 10 and 19, 2026, is getting good response from the visitors.
The fair is organised by the Madhya Pradesh Handicraft and Handloom Development Corporation. The event is showcasing traditional Bundelkhand artisans’ skills, with a workshop concluding on Monday, featuring senior weavers Mohammad Raza, Md. Naseef, Tegbahadur Sujan Sharma, and others, including Arvind Sharma, Exhibition In-charge.The initiative aims to provide Bundelkhand artisans with production support and market access, boosting handloom livelihoods.
The fair features products from Madhya Pradesh’s Chanderi, Waraseoni, silk, and other handicrafts like Sausar and Khwati handlooms, with 45-50 artisans selling directly to visitors. The event is open daily from 12 noon to 9 pm, with free entry and parking facility. “The goal of the event is to generate employment for Bundelkhand artisans while offering Nagpur residents quality hand-crafted goods through this exhibition,” said Arvind Sharma, Officer-in-Charge.
