BATTERS Akash Kumar and Mayank Jasore hammered hundreds while Kaustubh Salve returned with a match haul of ten wickets as All India Reporter (AIR) drubbed Qidwai Cricket Club by an innings and 401 runs in their Group B fixture of the 14th edition of Dr MN Dorairajan Invitation (Multi-Day) Cricket Tournament at VCA’s Kalamna Ground on Tuesday. AIR completed the win on second day of the three-day match. Qidwai’s first innings folded at 114 in 40.4 overs with AIR’s Salve (5-29) and Kshitiz Dahiya (3-26) doing the damage with the ball. AIR, who started the day at 238-2 went on to score 627-7 in 90 overs. Kumar hit exactly 150 while Jasore scored fastest century of the tournament off 47 balls with eight fours and nine big sixes. Vaibhav Chouksey (82), Daksh Yadav (74) hit fifties. Hrushikesh Pawar (3-193) was the most successful bowler for Qidwai. Salve (5-47) took his second five-wicket haul of the match and was ably assisted by Aditya Titarmare (4-38) as AIR shot out Qidwai for a mere 112 in 24.3 overs in their second innings to complete a huge win.
