Shadab Gate, a notorious criminal accused of orchestrating high-profile firing incidents at Ashoka Garden and Hamidia Hospital, is being brought to the State capital on a production warrant from Jalgaon in Maharashtra. The accused was apprehended by Jalgaon Police during a routine checking drive on Monday evening, where an illegal firearm was recovered from his possession. Bhopal Police will seek his remand for intensive interrogation regarding recent gang violence. The arrest follows a sustained manhunt by the Bhopal Police, who had declared a reward of Rs 30,000 for information leading to his capture. According to officials, the Jalgaon Police intercepted Shadab and discovered the weapon, leading to his immediate detention. A specialised team from Bhopal has already moved to secure custody via a production warrant. Police officials stated that a key focus of the investigation would be to determine if the firearm seized in Maharashtra was the same weapon used to target history-sheeter Lallu Rais and his son.

“While Shadab is in custody, his accomplices remain at large. Our teams are conducting raids to nab the remaining members of the gang,” a senior official said. Police Commissioner Sanjay Kumar emphasised that the crackdown would extend beyond physical arrests. “The police will investigate the illegally acquired properties and the financial sources of Shadab Gate and his associates. We are committed to dismantling their entire criminal network and ensuring stringent legal action,” the Commissioner stated. Background of the case: The string of violence began when Shadab Gate, along with aides Allu Parwez, Sajid Gate, Anas, Guddu Station, and Shahwar Maulana, allegedly opened fire on the son of history-sheeter Lallu Rais in the Ashoka Garden area, leaving him injured. Following the initial attack, Shadab and Sajid reportedly stormed the emergency ward of Hamidia Hospital to target Lallu Rais himself.
