THE Annual VBA Summer Championship will be held at the VBA Sports Complex from March 20 to 22. This three-day event is being held in memory of late Sunderlal Daga. Daga was a scion of the illustrious Daga family — an eminent industrialist and an avid bridge player. The Daga family’s well-recognised charitable contributions — such as Kasturchand Park, LAD College and Daga Hospital, among many others — have played a significant role in serving the needs of our city and the country.

 

Daga’s talents as a poet and musician were also widely admired. This tournament is being sponsored by his son Ashok Daga. The VBA club authorities have organised four different events over the three days — MP Pairs, IMP Pairs, Pairs Progressive and Duplicate. Anilkumar Mohota and Amit Rewatkar will serve as the tournament directors for this prestigious championship. Attractive cash prizes will be awarded to the winners.
