THREE hockey players of Ira International School have been selected in the Maharashtra squad which will take part in the 1st West Zone Asmita Women’s National Championship. The championship is going to be held in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh from March 20 to 24. On the basis of their performance in the trials at Pune, Yashasvi Kubde, Lajo Rahangdale and Shrawani Tulankar were selected in the 18-member squad.

 

The team had their practice and conditioning camp ahead of the tournament in Pune. The players were coached by Shahid Bux, guided by school Principal Manisha Sathe and supported by Rimple Lohia. The school management wished them luck for the tournament.
