THE newly-appointed Secretary of Maharashtra Boxing Association, Rakesh Tiwari and Vice-President Arun Bute were welcomed enthusiastically by Nagpur Boxing Club, Mankapur. The event, organised at Mankapur Stadium, was attended by dignitaries from the boxing field. On this occasion, Tiwari, Bute and association’s chief coach Krishna Das were felicitated. They were welcomed with bouquets and shawls on behalf of Nagpur Boxing Club.

 

Speaking at the event, Tiwari appreciated the progress of boxing players in Nagpur and said that efforts will be made to provide opportunities to more players at the State and national levels in the future. Das, while guiding the players, highlighted the importance of discipline, hard work and consistency. Bute also praised the club’s work and expressed the opinion that such initiatives inspire the players. The event was attended by a large number of local athletes, coaches and sports enthusiasts.
