Jal Ganga Samvardhan: Students take out awareness rally, pledge to conserve water

ON THE occasion of World Water Day, a ‘Jal Ganga Samvardhan’ awareness rally and workshop were organised on Monday at the Government Naveen Arts and Commerce College, Khatlapura. Held under the aegis of the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad, students of the CMCLDP course took a collective pledge to protect water bodies and promote conservation. Addressing the gathering, District Coordinator Kokila Chaturvedi emphasized the significance of water, stating that it is the basis of life and imagining a future without its conservation is impossible.
 
Block Coordinator Nand Kishore Malviya presented a detailed roadmap for ‘Jal Ganga Samvardhan,’ highlighting how collective efforts can revitalise water sources. During the awareness campaign, Consultant Bal Krishna Vyas administered the water conservation oath to the students. Meanwhile, Priyesh Parmar engaged with the participants through a dialogue and quiz session to raise awareness about the water crisis. To boost the enthusiasm of the campaign, K P Tiwari and Lalita Yadav led the students in chanting slogans and displaying posters related to water saving. The programme concluded with all students vowing to prevent water wastage and spread awareness within society.
