The Jabalpur Municipal Commissioner Ramprakash Ahirwar has taken a strict stand to ensure quality and timely completion of development works in the city. The JMC administration has warned that negligence will not be tolerated.
During a inspection from Ret Naka at Gaurighat to Bandariya Tiraha, Municipal Commissioner Ramprakash Ahirwar reviewed ongoing works and examined ground conditions in detail. Finding significant delay and laxity in restoration works, Ahirwar imposed a penalty of Rs 5 lakh on the executing agency, Eagle PC Snehal Company. He also directed that show cause notices be issued to RB Consultant and the concerned sub engineer for failing to effectively monitor the work.
The Municipal Commissioner said delays and compromise on quality in development works
will not be accepted at any level. All projects must be completed within the stipulated time, keeping public convenience in focus. The Municipal Commissioner instructed senior officials to ensure that footpaths along roads remain completely free from encroachments. He emphasised that pedestrian routes should be safe and accessible.
He also directed better coordination among water, public works and other concerned departments to ensure early completion of ongoing projects. During the inspection, Ahirwar reviewed works related to city beautification and the garden department. He issued necessary instructions to officials to improve overall urban aesthetics.
