In a prestigious recognition of artistic excellence, Sanika Dilip Shinde was awarded the ‘Acharya Parvatikumar Memorial Gold Medal’ at 14th Convocation Ceremony of Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University (KKSU). A student of Bharat College of Fine Arts and Culture, Mumbai, Sanika secured the First Rank in her MA (Applied Arts - Bharatanatyam) for 2025.

 

The honour was presented by chief guest Padma Shri Prof Ganpati Yadav and Dr Atul Vaidya, Vice-Chancellor. Sanika, a disciple of Dr Sandhya Purecha, Sangeet Natak Akademi Chairperson, has performed at major festivals like Khajuraho and Ellora-Ajanta. The daughter of IAS officer Dilip Shinde and actress Rupalaxmi, she is also proficient in acting and painting. The ceremony was attended by Dr Alone, Registrar and other luminaries.
