Team of District Mining Department raided the site of illegal sand excavation and destroyed boats on the spot and sand stock was seized in Sihora. Acting on the directives of Collector Raghavendra Singh, a joint team carried out action against illegal sand mining in Sihora tehsil. The campaign was conducted by officials including the Tehsildar of Sihora, Assistant Mining Officer and a police team from Majhgawan Police Station. The team inspected Sachuli village following reports of illegal sand extraction.

 

During the inspection, authorities found active illegal mining in the Hiran River. Taking quick action, the team destroyed three boats being used for unlawful sand extraction. In addition, around 18 cubic meters of sand found abandoned on the riverbank was seized. The confiscated sand was handed over to the village Kotwar, Harilal Dahia, for safe custody. Officials stated that strict action will continue against illegal mining activities to protect natural resources and maintain law and order in the region.
