Day temperatures across Madhya Pradesh saw a noticeable climb, with districts in the Shahdol and Sagar divisions recording an appreciative rise of 3.0°C to 3.9°C. While most of the State remained dry, isolated pockets in the Rewa and Sagar divisions reported trace rainfall. Raisen emerged as the hottest location in the State, recording a maximum temperature of 38.0°C, while Pachmarhi in the Narmadapuram division remained the coolest with a minimum of 12.6°C. In the capital city, Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 34.4°C and a minimum of 17.8°C, both slightly below the seasonal normal. The regional Meteorological Centre has forecast a further gradual rise in mercury by 2°C to 3°C over the next one day. Bhopal and its neighbourhood are expected to experience mainly clear skies with morning haze and average wind speeds ranging between 10 to 12 kmph.

The current weather pattern is being influenced by multiple synoptic systems, including a persistent upper air cyclonic circulation over central Pakistan and another over central Madhya Pradesh at 0.9 km above mean sea level. A trough also extends from central Madhya Pradesh to north Madhya Maharashtra. Additionally, a high-velocity subtropical westerly jet stream is prevailing over North India, while two successive Western Disturbances are expected to affect the region starting March 26 and March 28, respectively. Despite these systems, the forecast remains dry for all districts in the State. Authorities have advised citizens to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged sun exposure during the afternoon as temperatures begin to trend upward. Farmers have been specifically urged to maintain soil moisture for wheat crops at the grain-filling stage and to continue the timely harvesting of mature mustard and early Rabi crops to prevent losses.
