DR A R Sontakke, Director of the National Fire Service College (NFSC), said the institute plans to introduce new academic programmes including M.Tech in Fire Engineering, MBA in Disaster Management and Fire Safety Management, Ph.D programmes, and diploma courses in Industrial Safety. The annual ‘Agni–2026’ fest was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at NFSC, Nagpur, in the presence of international delegates, dignitaries, faculty members, and a large number of students.

 

Addressing the gathering, Dr Sontakke stated that short-term professional and capacity-building courses will also be launched for fire professionals, corporate executives, and international officers. He extended a special welcome to the Russian delegation led by Ivan Sergeev. The inaugural ceremony witnessed disciplined and energetic participation by students on the parade ground. The fest includes a variety of competitions and activities aimed at fostering personality development essential for professionals in fire and emergency services.
