Sanjay Kumar Yadav has been elected as the new President of Rani Durgavati University (RDU) Non-Teaching Staff Union, securing victory with 217 votes. Joining him in a vital leadership capacity is Ankit Shrivas, who won the post of General Secretary after garnering 197 votes.
The University administration has officially announced the results for the highly anticipated University Non-Teaching Staff Union elections for the year 2026. Following the conclusion of the voting process, a notification was issued naming the candidates who will now lead the administrative and non-academic workforce.
The election saw a competitive race for the primary leadership.
With these appointments, the responsibility of effectively advocating for employee demands and addressing workplace grievances now rests with the newly elected President and General Secretary.
Other office-bearers included Ramjeevan Sondhiya (191) and Virendra Kumar Tiwari (138) have been elected for the available two posts of Vice-president, Saurabh Patel became Treasurer with 146 votes, Rohit Arya became Joint Secretary with 133 votes.
Simultaneously, Deepak Pandey (157), Prakash Chaubey (155 votes), Ganesh Prasad Uneha (124), Sunny Yadav (105) and Ramshankar Dwivedi (95 votes) have been elected for five posts of Executive Committee members.
The newly elected members pledged to advance the welfare and interests of the employees during their tenure which is set for the duration of 2026.
